“Either give me more wine or leave me alone.” ― Rumi

I took a bit of a break when it came to blogging and have since gotten back into it. I need the creative outlet to let out my existential dread and build something that maybe folks will see some value in. I can let out my feelings into the ever-growing vacuum of space. Either way, if you have the same chronic fear that life is meaningless or if you are fulfilled, we can both agree that alcohol makes it much better!

I used to have quite a distaste for red wine. “Its bottled dirt!”, “Why is it so expensive if it tastes like dirt?” and “It may as well be a cup of dirt!”. Okay, maybe there was a theme at play where I did not appreciate wine. However, all that changed when I finally got some great recommendations from a coworker.
This will be the first of many wines that I share with y’all, and it’s a winner. At a price point of $34.49 at my local Goody Goody Liquor, the price is menacing to those that may be nervous about buying expensive wine. However, if you have a lady friend that you are looking to impress, my dudes, go with this one.

Full-bodied and dry. A rich firm structure. It lingers throughout the mouth and finishes equally as so… But who cares about all those fancy city-slicker sommelier terms that most folks probably do not understand or, like me, do not have the “refined” palate to appreciate said notes.
To put it in terms that I think are more approachable, this is a fantastic medium-priced wine. The taste is smooth and balanced, so no overreaching dirt taste. Suppose you show up to a dinner party with it. In that case, folks will be nestled on the fence about deciding if you are pretentious showing up with a $30 bottle of wine or if you have a refined taste for good wine. Excellent for date nights, gifts to friends and family, or for an after-dinner sip in the recliner.
