Seasonal depression is in full swing! Its gray, its cold, its dark, you can’t leave the house, everything aches because of wild pressure system changes every few days. There’s no free time because of the holidays, parties, college football playoff. How do we survive this period of the year every year? My conclusion?

Lean into it.

Make a new playlist and put every sad song that you can imagine on it. Now this is where variety kicks in, I have my angsty-alternative-teenage-scream-sing playlist but I also have my fifth-of-whiskey-dark-moody/gloomy-onemanband-soul-crushing music. I alternate by mood between the two.

The new year is off to a marginally good start, some good habits are in their infancy, plans are set for travel and more plans are in the works.

This means more opportunities for fun photo taking which I have leveled up in over the holidays. I processed my own film for the first time and the nice 35/120 scanner to get high quality scans of my negatives should be here next week so I hope to have that up and running soon!

We just not gonna talk about the CPA stuff then huh?

No, no you are correct we should touch on it. I signed up for in person classes beginning at the end of January. We’re starting with a section that I have prior experience in and have gotten close to passing to work on gaining the momentum back to power thru the last two.

Dammit, on top of the CPA and other habits I keep forgetting I wanted to read a book every month.

UHH, that bar set low enough dude?

Calm down, its higher than where it used to be!

Cheers Y’all,
Will
